1. Information We Collect

When you use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we use Firebase Authentication and may receive your account ID, name, email address, and profile photo, depending on your sign-in provider. We store account details and tracked-scholar data with Firebase to provide your account and sync data across devices.

We display publicly available Google Scholar profiles, publications, and citation metrics. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect app events, app or device identifiers, and technical or performance data to help us understand usage and improve the app. Such analytics data is not necessarily anonymous.

2. Social Features and Messages

Cloud Firestore stores posts, comments, friend connections, messages, account identifiers, and timestamps. Posts and comments may be visible to other users; messages are shown to conversation participants. A friend request may show your name and email address to its recipient. Anonymous posting hides your name in the interface, but the content remains linked to an account identifier in our database.

Free users may see ads through Google AdMob, including mediation partner Pangle. Depending on your privacy choices and permissions, these services may process IP addresses, device or app identifiers (including IDFA if authorized), ad views and interactions, and diagnostics for ad delivery and measurement. You can manage applicable ad privacy choices in the app and iOS settings. Premium subscribers are not shown ads in the app; other account and analytics processing described here may still occur.

4. How We Use and Share Information

We use information to provide accounts, scholar tracking, social features, messages, notifications, purchases, and data sync; to measure and improve the app; and to deliver and measure ads for free users. To operate these features, information may be processed by Google Firebase for authentication, storage, and analytics; Google AdMob and Pangle for advertising; and Apple or Google for sign-in or purchases. Public content is visible to other app users. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Account Deletion and Retained Content

You can request account deletion in Settings > Delete Account or contact us using the email below. The app attempts to delete your authentication account, user profile, and tracked-scholar data. Public posts and comments may remain, but the app attempts to replace their author information with a deleted-account label. This process does not currently guarantee deletion of every message, friend record, or other copy of content. If deletion fails or you need help removing remaining personal data, contact us.

By using our social features, you agree not to post offensive or harmful content. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content.

Scholar Tracker offers an auto-renewable subscription called "Premium Access" that provides unlimited scholar tracking, unlimited social posting, and an ad-free experience.

• Subscription Duration: 1 month (auto-renewable).
• Price: Displayed at the point of purchase in your local currency.
• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
